Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical histories, physical assessments, and necessary diagnostic tests specific to pain management.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with chronic pain conditions, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and efficacy of pain management interventions, adjusting treatment protocols as needed to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Prescribe and administer medications while providing education on proper use, potential side effects, and the importance of adherence to prescribed regimens.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions, including injections or other procedures, as per established guidelines and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about pain management strategies, coping mechanisms, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance overall quality of life.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients facing chronic pain challenges, fostering therapeutic relationships based on trust and compassion.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with residents at our assisted living facility who suffer from chronic pain, whether due to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain conditions, or post-operative pain management. Many of these patients are elderly and may have complex health profiles that require a nuanced and compassionate approach to care. Your expertise will significantly influence their daily living and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, preferably with a focus on pain management or related fields.
• Current New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pain management, primary care, or a closely related healthcare field.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in pain assessment and treatment protocols.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience.
