Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments by obtaining complete health histories and performing detailed physical examinations for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain.
• Develop individualized care plans by prescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Deliver education and counseling to patients regarding pain management therapies, adherence to therapeutic regimens, and potential medication side effects.
• Monitor and manage ongoing treatment of patients with chronic pain, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Prescribe medications within appropriate clinical guidelines and verify patient safety through monitoring programs.
• Collaborate closely with physicians to establish accurate treatment protocols for individuals presenting with complex pain scenarios.
• Utilize advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to identify pain disorders, employing various diagnostic tests as needed.
• Perform specialized procedures such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and pain pump management as part of comprehensive pain management strategies.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse group of patients ranging from adolescents to adults managing chronic pain conditions. You will be responsible for creating individualized care plans that respect patients' personal values and belief systems while ensuring patients feel heard and supported throughout their treatment process. You will leverage your expertise to build rapport and trust with patients, allowing for more effective management of their pain conditions.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirement: A Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) is required.
• Licensure: An active and valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license is crucial for this position.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of clinical experience in pain management or a closely related field is essential.
• Knowledge Base: In-depth understanding of various pain disorders and effective treatment modalities.

• The compensation for this role ranges from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
