Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and reviewing medical histories to develop individualized treatment plans that address specific pain disorders.
• Assist in performing interventional pain management procedures such as joint injections and nerve blocks, utilizing ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance when necessary.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, adhering to established protocols and best practices tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring effective pain relief.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on evaluations and patient feedback, to optimize clinical outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring all documentation adheres to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population includes adults experiencing a wide range of pain issues, from musculoskeletal disorders to neuropathic pain syndromes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with a focus on Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current Physician Assistant license in New York State.

Compensation and Benefits
