Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough medical history reviews and physical examinations to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Collaborate with attending physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' specific pain management needs.
• Perform a range of medical procedures under supervision, such as joint injections or spinal injections, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of practice.
• Educate patients regarding their conditions, management strategies, and lifestyle modifications that can enhance their overall health and quality of life.
• Maintain meticulous medical records that document patient visits, treatment plans, and follow-up care, ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In the Pain Management department, you will primarily interact with patients experiencing a variety of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to, arthritis, neuropathy, post-surgical pain, and fibromyalgia. Our diverse patient demographic ranges from young adults to seniors, each with their unique needs and backgrounds. As a Physician Assistant, your role will involve not only treating these patients but also empowering them with knowledge and resources that promote self-management and improve their overall satisfaction with care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program, meeting all accreditation standards.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
