Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing, diagnosing, and managing common health concerns in accordance with established clinical guidelines and community standards.
• Implement effective health management strategies in collaboration with school health staff and administration to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
• Maintain and enhance the performance of clinical workflows, striving for efficiency and effectiveness in all office practices.
• Act as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration, advocating for both staff and patient needs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Consistently provide effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to foster a cohesive healthcare experience.
• Document patient care interactions comprehensively, ensuring timely entry within 2 business days to meet regulatory and billing requirements.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance through the institution of necessary programs and practices.
• Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at meeting the strategic goals of the health system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, you will primarily work with a patient population that includes students of all ages. You will provide care that is sensitive to age-specific needs, ensuring that patients receive appropriate assessments and interventions that incorporate their unique developmental cues and health requirements. Your role will emphasize preventative care, health education, and chronic disease management, tailored to the dynamic environment of a school setting.

Qualifications

• Current New York State certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification is required to validate your competencies in the field of nursing.
• A valid DEA license is necessary for prescription management.
• Ability to secure appropriate privileges at F. F. Thompson Health is required.
• Familiarity with ICD10 coding is preferred but not essential.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred, enhancing your capacity to effectively manage outpatient clinical medicine scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, F. F.
