Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking comprehensive histories and performing physical examinations to identify health issues effectively.
• Develop, document, and communicate individualized plans of care collaboratively with patients, ensuring they are informed about their treatment options.
• Perform daily patient rounds, providing updates on patient progress and needs to the interdisciplinary team.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical evaluations to guide treatment decisions.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment options tailored to individual patient needs with a focus on safety and efficacy.
• Facilitate ongoing communication with patients regarding care plans and address any questions or concerns to promote understanding and compliance.
• Assist in patient discharge planning, including the provision of education on aftercare and referrals when necessary.
• Stay abreast of advancements in women's health care and integrate new approaches into practice, contributing to the team’s overall knowledge base.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Professional Nurse license.

Preferred Experience
