Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite within a school facility, offering a unique environment where you will engage with a diverse patient population, including adolescents and their families. As a full-time position, you will commit to 40 hours a week with a schedule that typically runs from 9 AM to 5 PM, requiring occasional weekend and evening availability. Key Responsibilities

As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive initial patient assessments by taking detailed histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Developing and documenting personalized care plans while effectively communicating treatment strategies and follow-up actions to patients.
• Performing daily patient rounds, ensuring consistent monitoring of health progress and treatment effectiveness.
• Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and diagnostic studies to support accurate clinical decision-making.
• Collaborating with attending physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to enhance the overall quality of patient care.
• Preparing and managing discharge summaries, prescriptions, and follow-up appointments, while providing clear post-discharge care instructions to patients.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily focus on women's health issues, catering to various age groups, including young women, pregnant individuals, and women transitioning through menopause. Understanding the unique physical, emotional, and social aspects of women’s health will be crucial in delivering appropriate care and establishing trust within this demographic.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing and completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program with national board certification in a women’s health specialty.
• Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Experience in creating and managing collaborative practice agreements or relationships as required by New York State regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in women's healthcare.

Preferred Experience
