Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cardiovascular assessments, including screenings for high-risk students, and develop individualized care plans based on your evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, providing follow-up care to monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about heart health, including guidance on nutrition, exercise, and preventive strategies to reduce risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease.
• Collaborate with school administrators and community organizations to design and implement heart health education programs, workshops, and awareness campaigns tailored to the school population.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in cardiology.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in cardiovascular health, evidence-based treatment protocols, and relevant public health policies to enhance care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on the well-being of school-aged children and their families. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted state nursing license, with credentials in Cardiovascular Nursing or a related specialty area.

Compensation and Benefits

CareFirst Wellness offers an attractive compensation package, with a salary range between $150,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
