Mountain Park Pulmonology PC is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology to join our outpatient practice in North Greece, New York. This full-time role calls for a compassionate professional who thrives in a collaborative medical environment, working under the guidance of the Chief Nurse Practitioner and alongside the Medical Director.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Assisted Living Facility, providing a comfortable and supportive environment for both our patients and staff. The dynamic nature of our clinic facilitates easy collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative support staff, all dedicated to ensuring outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed histories and exams, with a focus on cardiovascular health.
• Manage chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol, developing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide specialized Electrophysiology services for patients with arrhythmias, ensuring timely and accurate evaluations of electrocardiograms.
• Assess and manage acute conditions including Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Perform stress testing and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Work closely with on-site cardiologists, receiving ongoing consultation and supervision.
• Educate patients and their families regarding conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications necessary for improved cardiovascular health.
• Refer patients to other specialists within the organization when necessary, creating a seamless continuum of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus population includes a diverse group of adult patients, many of whom reside in the assisted living facility. This unique setting allows the Nurse Practitioner to build sustained relationships with patients, providing continuity of care in managing both chronic and acute cardiovascular conditions.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a focus relevant to Cardiology.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure.
• Strong foundation in outpatient cardiovascular care practices.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a cardiology-focused role, whether inpatient or outpatient, is highly desirable. We welcome both seasoned Nurse Practitioners as well as new graduates with a strong interest in cardiology, especially those who have completed rotations or internships within this specialty.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 120,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
