Work Environment

You will work onsite in our modern outpatient facility located in the picturesque North Greece area, known for its family-friendly community and supportive atmosphere. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and comprehensive physical examinations of pediatric patients to determine health status and specific medical needs.
• Diagnose health conditions, formulate treatment plans, and implement medical interventions in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Manage day-to-day patient care by providing direct clinical services, educating families on health management, and assisting with medication administration as needed.
• Develop and manage interdisciplinary care plans that encompass the psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors affecting each child's health.
• Maintain exceptional communication with patients and their families, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their healthcare decisions.
• Adhere strictly to established protocols, hospital policies, and regulatory compliance to uphold a standard of care recognized for excellence in the community.
• Take the initiative for continuous professional development through ongoing education and participation in workforce development programs.
• Follow standardized procedures for outpatient care and documentation, leveraging electronic health record systems to optimize patient care workflows.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Cherish Care Wellness, you will primarily serve a diverse young patient population ranging from newborns to adolescents. You will be responsible for addressing a variety of health concerns, from routine wellness check-ups and immunizations to acute and chronic health conditions. This role requires not only clinical expertise but also compassion and a commitment to understanding the unique healthcare challenges faced by children and their families.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and a Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification are essential.
• Certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) is preferred.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least five years of recent clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, specifically in pediatric care. Experience in an outpatient clinic setting is highly desirable, as candidates will be expected to handle a diverse caseload efficiently and effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner role at Cherish Care Wellness offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $126,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
