Position Overview

Bassi Physician Assistant, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic surgical center located in North Greece, New York. This full-time role involves providing high-level medical care as part of a collaborative healthcare team. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient care with a focus on comprehensive treatments for a variety of health conditions. Your contributions will enhance patient outcomes through effective treatment planning and ongoing patient education.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, situated within a modern surgical center where teamwork is essential for delivering optimal patient care. With a schedule of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will enjoy a structured workweek that allows for a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and meticulously review patients' medical histories and records to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies like X-rays to aid in accurate patient assessments.
• Diagnose and treat a diverse range of health conditions as part of our family medicine approach, and develop personalized treatment plans for chronic diseases and infections.
• Prescribe medications, monitor treatment efficacy, and adjust patient care plans as necessary.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records and schedules to promote continuity of care and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, preventive care measures, and disease management techniques.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices among patients to enhance overall well-being and reduce the risk of chronic illnesses.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, including conducting daily rounds and coordinating with nursing staff and other specialists.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in primary care and surgical practices through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population requiring a broad range of medical services within a surgical context. Our patients often present with varying degrees of health issues, requiring tailored care strategies. Your role will be crucial in managing both acute and chronic conditions, ensuring that each patient receives individualized attention and support during their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant is required.
• At least two years of relevant experience within a family health clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Proven expertise in family medicine, with substantial clinical experience in primary care.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
• A dedicated, ethical approach to providing patient-centered healthcare.
• A collaborative mindset with a positive attitude conducive to teamwork.
• Patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of patients.
• A DEA number is essential for prescribing medications.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a surgical setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient documentation.
• Experience in performing therapeutic procedures delegated by supervising physicians.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year , commensurate with experience. In addition to a refined salary structure, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
