The successful Physician Assistant will work onsite at our state-of-the-art surgical center in Brockport, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and comprehensive patient histories to assess health conditions accurately.
• Interpret lab results and diagnostic imaging to develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and specialists to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment therapies, documenting all decisions meticulously in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Provide education and resources to patients regarding their diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive strategies to empower informed decision-making.
• Handle follow-up evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Unihealth MD, you will serve a patient population that includes both surgical patients requiring pre-operative assessments and post-operative care, as well as individuals with chronic conditions needing consistent management. Your role will directly impact patient recovery and well-being, as you prepare them for surgical procedures, manage their care throughout the recovery process, and educate them on best practices for follow-up care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with a Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• National certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required prior to starting.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience within a healthcare setting, preferably in surgical or outpatient care.

Compensation and Benefits

Unihealth MD offers a competitive salary structure ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
