Work Environment

This full-time position operates in an onsite hospital setting, providing you the opportunity to engage directly with patients and other healthcare professionals. The schedule is structured at 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. This predictable hours schedule allows for a healthy work-life balance and the chance to fully immerse yourself in patient care without the demands of late-night or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and collect comprehensive medical histories from patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to inform patient diagnoses.
• Diagnose various acute and chronic health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
• Prescribe medications, considering patient health conditions and potential side effects.
• Maintain meticulous patient records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance.
• Advise patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care strategies.
• Provide education on disease management and healthy living practices to promote community health.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, actively participating in treatment decision-making and care planning.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including research and peer group discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical, hospital, or emergency room setting, demonstrating proficiency in primary and acute care practices.
• Valid Physician Assistant license in New York State and current PA-C certification.
• DEA registration required to prescribe medications.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
