Trinity Health is seeking a committed and experienced Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team at our Surgical Center located in the vibrant community of Clarkson, New York. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. Work Environment

The role is onsite and requires working a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with patient care hours concluding at 5:00 PM. Our Surgical Center provides an environment where you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive primary care to our diverse patient population. The setting emphasizes teamwork and cooperation, ensuring every patient receives optimal care tailored to their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and detailed medical history reviews of patients.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to assess patient health.
• Diagnose various health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans for both chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients on their use, potential side effects, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Inform and guide patients and family members about health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Promote disease prevention practices and wellness through educational initiatives and community engagement.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Participate in continuous professional development through research, training, and conferences to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve patients in the primary care outpatient setting, addressing a wide spectrum of health issues including acute illnesses, chronic disease management, and preventive care. Our diverse patient demographic ranges from pediatric to geriatric populations, providing a unique opportunity to impact individuals and families across various stages of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, such as a hospital, urgent care, or outpatient clinic.
• A current and valid Physician Assistant license in New York and certification (PA-C).
• Current DEA registration.
• Strong understanding of health care regulations and ethical practice.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional growth.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in primary care, acute care, or chronic disease management.
