Work Environment

This position is based onsite at Living Memorial Hospital, where you will work under the guidance of experienced physicians and alongside skilled Nurse Practitioners within a busy but supportive primary care practice. The standard schedule is full-time, with 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, allowing work-life balance while catering to the healthcare needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant, your primary duties will involve:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations to assess patients' medical status.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to aid in diagnosing health conditions.
• Formulating and proposing treatment plans for both chronic and acute diseases.
• Prescribing necessary medications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and patient safety protocols.
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate patient records, documenting all interactions and treatment plans clearly.
• Engaging in patient education, informing individuals and their families about health conditions and preventive measures.
• Advocating for healthy lifestyle choices and organizing community health promotion activities.
• Participating in team meetings, case discussions, and engaging in continuous medical education to improve clinical skills and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse clientele, with a range of health backgrounds including preventive care for individuals and families, managing chronic conditions, and acute care needs. As our population ages and health concerns evolve, your ability to connect with patients and provide tailored care will be pivotal in fostering trust and improving overall health outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with a Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program preferred.
• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• A current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification (PA-C).
• A DEA number for prescribing medications.
• At least two years of experience as a Physician Assistant, with a strong emphasis on primary care or related specialties.
• Exceptional communication skills, a strong ethical foundation, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in specialties such as acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, family health, urgent care, or emergency medicine will be advantageous. Bilingual capabilities are a plus, enhancing our ability to communicate with a broader patient base.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:
