Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work in a fast-paced onsite environment dedicated exclusively to outpatient surgical care. You will be expected to work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, typically concluding at 5:00 PM. The Surgical Center operates under a collaborative model, allowing you to work closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and meticulously review patients’ medical history and current health challenges.
• Order and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to aid in accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage health conditions, providing both immediate and long-term treatment plans for chronic and acute illnesses.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments, maintaining a focus on patient safety and adherence to relevant regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures to promote wellness.
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure precise scheduling for ongoing patient care.
• Foster robust communication with patients, answering questions and addressing concerns to deliver a positive healthcare experience.
• Advance personal clinical knowledge through participation in research and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree and a valid Physician Assistant certification (PA-C) from an accredited institution.

• Current California State Physician Assistant license and DEA number.
• Solid understanding of healthcare regulations and patient care protocols.

Preferred Experience

• Acute care or surgical care experience, ideally within an outpatient framework.
• Ability to communicate in multiple languages is a plus, but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
