Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our well-equipped surgical center in Clarkson, New York. The role requires full-time commitment, with 40 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday, concluding by 5:00 PM daily. You'll be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality medical care in a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Envision Medical Center, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and medical histories of patients.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work and imaging studies.
• Diagnosing health conditions and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
• Proposing and managing treatments for both chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribing medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and schedules in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Educating patients on their health conditions and the importance of their prescribed regimens.
• Promoting good health practices through patient education and community outreach.
• Staying current with advancements in healthcare and engaging in research to improve clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population within our primary care practice, catering to individuals and families with a wide range of health concerns. Your expertise in patient care will be vital in helping them manage their health effectively, navigate preventative healthcare strategies, and recover from surgical procedures. A collaborative approach with our team of physicians and NPs will enable holistic care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• A valid Physician Assistant license issued in the state of New York.
• PA-C certification.
• A DEA number to prescribe medications.
• At least two years of professional experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting, with a focus on primary or acute care.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in specialties such as internal medicine, family health, cardiology, or urgent care.
• Knowledge of health regulations and compliance standards related to patient care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
• A commitment to maintaining a patient-centered approach to care and demonstrating excellent ethical standards.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) software.
• Bilingual skills, while not required, are considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
