Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will operate in an onsite outpatient practice setting within the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC). This role provides a collaborative working atmosphere alongside experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, and a supportive team of registered nurses and administrative staff. The workweek is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic with no night shifts or weekend obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cardiologists to deliver high-quality care to patients, ensuring effective treatment plans are executed.
• Evaluate and manage patients with conditions such as hypertension and hyperlipidemia, implementing individualized therapeutic interventions.
• Provide specialized outpatient Electrophysiology services, addressing arrhythmias, monitoring device patients, and reviewing abnormal electrocardiogram findings.
• Assess and manage acute cardiac conditions, including Coronary Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Peripheral Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, and others.
• Conduct stress testing, interpreting results and integrating findings into patient management strategies.
• Offer direct patient care through thorough history-taking, physical examinations, and medication prescriptions as indicated.
• Refer patients efficiently to appropriate specialists within the organization to enhance integrated care pathways.
• Educate patients and their families regarding conditions, treatment options, and preventive care to foster informed health decision-making.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will focus on a diverse patient population, providing care primarily for adults with cardiovascular diseases. The role is critical in managing chronic patients and acute conditions, enabling better health outcomes and enhancing patients’ quality of life through ongoing support and education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; advanced education with a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with current certification in a relevant specialty.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and a commitment to patient advocacy.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in cardiology, either in outpatient or inpatient settings, is highly favorable.
• Familiarity with Electrophysiology services and application of advanced cardiac care techniques.
• Experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary team environment to address complex patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a strong salary package, the role includes:
