Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality healthcare that aligns with national standards and best practices in outpatient clinical medicine.
• Perform thorough patient assessments, including obtaining health histories, conducting physical exams, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate effectively with office staff to develop and implement efficient operational practices.
• Act as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration, advocating for the needs of both patients and staff.
• Promote regulatory compliance within the practice and ensure adherence to evolving healthcare standards.
• Document comprehensive patient care records promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance for regulatory and billing purposes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding laws and regulations related to healthcare practices and insurance claims.
• Utilize effective communication skills to foster trust with patients, their families, and team members, ensuring feedback is welcomed and addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will work primarily with adult patients within the internal medicine scope, promoting health education and preventive care. We focus on patients who appreciate personalized attention and the convenience of receiving healthcare in their homes. Engagement in understanding patients’ unique backgrounds and health stories is vital, enabling a tailored approach to nurture their individual healthcare journeys.

Qualifications

• Possession of a New York State certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification is required.
• A current DEA license is mandatory for the position.
• Ability to gain and maintain appropriate privileges within the F.F. Thompson Health system.
• Keen understanding of ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved Nurse Practitioner program, adhering to continuing education requirements.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient setting is preferred, ideally in internal medicine or a similar specialty.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Nurse Practitioner position offers a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually.
