Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite at our Assisted Living Facility, where a vibrant and collegial atmosphere prevails. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enable efficient patient care delivery and is designed to support a wide range of cardiac evaluations and treatments. This role offers the advantage of a Monday to Friday work schedule, with hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring work-life balance with no call duties, night shifts, or weekend commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with a team of experienced Cardiologists, contributing to the management and treatment of various cardiovascular conditions.
• Provide comprehensive healthcare by evaluating and managing patients with Hypertension, High Cholesterol, and acute cardiac conditions such as Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and Stroke/Transient Ischemic Attack.
• Deliver outpatient-only Electrophysiology services, interpreting abnormal electrocardiograms and managing patients with arrhythmias and cardiovascular devices.
• Administer Stress Tests and interpret results to guide further treatment.
• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, and prescribe appropriate medication in alignment with patient needs and treatment plans.
• Facilitate consultations and work under the direct supervision of onsite Cardiologists for complex cases and ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle changes that support cardiovascular health.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when necessary, carefully managing the patient journey through our extensive care network.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients experiencing various cardiovascular issues, ranging from chronic conditions such as Hypertension to acute cases requiring immediate attention. The Nurse Practitioner will work within a diverse patient demographic, encompassing all ages and backgrounds, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the cultural nuances that inform patient care in our community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required, and candidates must have completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, relevant to the needs of the department.
• Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Eligibility for national certification is essential, alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred, along with a background in Cardiology or related areas.

Preferred Experience

We welcome applications from both seasoned Nurse Practitioners and recent graduates. Experience in outpatient Cardiology settings, either inpatient or outpatient, will be considered an asset. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a robust understanding of best practices in cardiovascular healthcare are strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
