Work Environment

Located in Rochester, New York, our hospital setting provides an onsite work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while meeting the healthcare needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for adult patients, ensuring every patient receives individualized care.
• Diagnose a range of acute and chronic medical conditions utilizing evidence-based practices, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and recommend necessary treatments while monitoring patient progress and making adjustments as required.
• Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote long-term wellness.
• Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and specialists to create and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Manage patient follow-ups, specialist referrals, and maintain organized medical documentation to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assemble feedback from patient satisfaction surveys to enhance service delivery.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in healthcare practices to provide the best possible care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will engage with a diverse patient population, addressing a full spectrum of healthcare needs from preventive care to the management of complex chronic conditions. Our patients vary in age, background, and health status, requiring a compassionate and adaptable approach to healthcare that emphasizes respect and understanding.

Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant license for the state of New York is mandatory.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• A DEA registration number is necessary for prescribing medications.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program is essential.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing our ability to serve a broader patient demographic.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience in an internal medicine or primary care setting is preferred to ensure familiarity with a broad range of medical conditions.
• Experience in managing a patient panel of 30 or more individuals per day, demonstrating efficiency in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
