Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments to create tailored treatment plans that consider each patient's unique medical history and pain management needs.
• Assisting in interventional procedures, such as injections and nerve blocks, enhancing patient outcomes through hands-on support during treatments.
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in accordance with established protocols, ensuring patients receive optimal care and support.
• Monitoring patient progress meticulously and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to promote recovery and manage chronic pain effectively.
• Providing educational resources and guidance to patients regarding pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and self-care techniques to empower them in their healing journey.
• Maintaining precise medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, enabling seamless communication among the care team and improving overall patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will be on patients experiencing chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to lower back pain, neuropathic pain, and arthritis. You will engage with diverse patient backgrounds, working to understand each individual's experience, which is crucial to developing effective, personalized pain management strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program is required.
• Must hold a current Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to foster compassionate relationships with patients and work collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in pain management or a related field is strongly preferred, as familiarity with various pain conditions and treatment options is crucial.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $120,000 to $130,000, depending on experience.
