Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to formulate and document care plans in alignment with patient needs in pain management.
• Provide comprehensive preventive health services such as immunizations and health screenings, as well as manage acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Order, perform, and analyze diagnostic tests; interpret results to determine further patient evaluations or treatments.
• Develop differential diagnoses and prioritize treatment options while documenting all relevant patient interactions and care plan modifications.
• Collaborate effectively with specialists and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care for complex patients.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance to promote lifelong wellness habits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position predominantly focuses on adult patients seeking pain management solutions for chronic conditions, as well as those recovering from acute pain-related treatment. Your ability to empathize, communicate clearly, and assess complex patient histories will be crucial in fostering a trusting relationship and encouraging adherence to treatment protocols.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on pain management preferred.
• Strong ability to multitask with excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written; ability to engage effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and clinical staff.
• A patient-oriented mindset with strong customer service abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospital or multi-disciplinary clinic setting dealing specifically with pain management cases.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly in noting patient interactions and care plans.

Compensation and Benefits
