Job Description

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, or electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems according to detailed work instructions. You will utilize various hand and power tools for precise assembly work, and install components, wiring, fasteners, or casings using techniques such as bolts, rivets, soldering, or micro-welding. Your role includes cleaning parts and finished assemblies using approved cleaning methods and materials, inspecting work to ensure quality and conformance to specifications, and maintaining production equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electronic components and systems.
• Use hand and power tools for precise assembly work.
• Install components using bolts, rivets, soldering, or micro-welding techniques.
• Clean parts and assemblies with approved methods and materials.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain production equipment and a clean work area.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical, or electronic assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and assembly documentation.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, painting, electrical, testing, and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millington, MD.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
