Sr. Bioscience Account Manager, Illinois

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Bioscience Account Manager to develop and grow sales across an assigned Illinois territory. This newly established role involves building customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and executing sales activities across academic, biotech, pharmaceutical, and government life science customers.
Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed sales targets by maintaining existing business and developing new customers in Illinois territory
- Execute prospecting, qualification, value-based selling, and closing activities across assigned accounts
- Build relationships with scientists, lab managers, and purchasing stakeholders through field visits and engagement
- Partner with technical specialists to deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and customer solutions
- Maintain accurate opportunity and pipeline data in Salesforce with quarterly territory and account planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biology, Life Sciences, or related scientific field
- 2+ years professional experience in life sciences, laboratory research, biotechnology, or scientific sales
- Scientific knowledge and ability to learn customer applications and Thermo Fisher technologies
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills with customers and internal partners
- Self-motivated with ability to independently develop new customer relationships and business
- Proficiency with Salesforce and sales pipeline management disciplines
- Fluency in English and ability to lift 40 lbs without assistance
