Key Responsibilities Assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients through comprehensive evaluations and intake sessions. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, considering their specific needs, treatment goals, and personal preferences. Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address client issues effectively. Provide psychoeducation and resources to clients and their families, enhancing their understanding of mood disorders and fostering self-care practices. Continuously monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations and client feedback. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and cohesive approach to client care. Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment, implementing new strategies to enhance client outcomes. Manage clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client confidentiality and accurate record-keeping. Contribute to team meetings, professional development activities, and case consultations to support continuous improvement and high-quality care. Actively advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to reduce stigma and promote understanding of mental health issues in the community. Patient Population / Client Focus As an LMFT at Sevita, you will primarily engage with clients experiencing mood disorders, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related challenges. Many clients may be navigating significant life transitions, relational issues, or personal crises. Your work will involve providing support in a therapeutic context that fosters trust and open communication, empowering clients to successfully manage their symptoms and improve their overall wellbeing. Qualifications Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate the establishment of a secure therapeutic relationship. Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and struggles. Strong organizational abilities and time management skills to balance client caseload and administrative duties effectively. Preferred Experience Experience providing therapy to clients with mood disorders, including familiarity with evidence-based practices and treatment methodologies. Exposure to integrated care models, collaborating across disciplines to deliver comprehensive client support. Active engagement in ongoing professional development, including specialized training in addiction counseling or related areas.
