Ethnic Studies Pool Position: Lecturer Academic Year: 2026/2027 Day/Time: Varies Modality: Varies College: College of Humanities, Arts, Behavioral and Social Sciences Program: Ethnic Studies The Ethnic Studies Program at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for our pool of part‑time lecturers. Applicant pools are used to fill short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester. Applications in this pool are good for the current academic year and will close on May 31, 2027. Minimum qualifications: A master's degree in Ethnic Studies, or an allied/relevant field. Working in California is a condition of employment. Refer to the CSU Out‑of‑State Employment Policy for details. Preferred qualifications: A doctorate in Ethnic Studies, or an allied/relevant field. Experience teaching in higher education. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving our campus community in teaching and, as applicable, service. Salary Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $8,000 per full‑time month. CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A – AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month. CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B – AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month.
