Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions focusing on adolescent and young adult clients, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored to their needs.

• Implementing therapeutic interventions to promote mental wellness, including coping strategies and personal development tools.

• Collaborating with an admissions and assessment team to handle initial evaluations and determine suitable treatment plans for clients.

• Participating in regular case discussions with fellow clinicians to share insights, strategies, and foster a learning environment for continuous improvement.

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Providing guidance and resources to clients' families to foster a supportive environment for sustained recovery and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position is dedicated to working with a diverse range of adolescents and young adults. Our clients often face complex mental health issues exacerbated by socio-economic factors, trauma, and other life stressors. We believe that every client is unique, and we emphasize personalized care to foster meaningful therapeutic relationships. With small group sessions of no more than eight clients, therapists have the opportunity to engage deeply with each client, facilitating sustainable healing and positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.

• Current, valid California licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Availability to work between 12 to 40 hours per week, depending on whether you choose a 1099 contract or W2 employment status.

• Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to client interactions.

• Experience working with adolescent and young adult populations, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and substance use.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies, enhancing your ability to connect with clients virtually.
