Key Responsibilities

• Make independent, case-specific clinical decisions in real-time to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Stay informed about current practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to functions in a post-acute care setting.
• Implement and communicate departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to team members.
• Demonstrate proficiency in essential competency areas including patient rights, safety measures, and sanitation protocols.
• Foster and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and support departments to streamline patient care.
• Manage confidential information with discretion, adhering to ethical practices regarding privacy and data protection.
• Follow company policies closely, including those related to workplace conduct and compliance, maintaining the highest degree of professionalism.
• Engage in community health initiatives as opportunities arise, contributing to our outreach and impact beyond the clinic.
• Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and email for documentation and communication in an efficient manner.
• Work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Adhere to best practices in body mechanics to promote safe working conditions during therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist in our facility, you will primarily serve outpatient clients recovering from acute and chronic conditions, particularly in orthopedics. A focus on spinal therapy is a preferred asset, as many patients may present with complex spine-related issues. The goal is to support these individuals in regaining their independence, improving mobility, and enhancing their overall quality of life through customized therapy programs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited program in physical therapy with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT), Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT), or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Candidates who graduated in 2003 or later must have either an MSPT or DPT.
• Current registration and licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida, with the ability to maintain an active license throughout your employment.
• CPR certification is required upon hiring or must be obtained during the orientation period, with the expectation that it remains current during the course of your employment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics is required, and experience with spinal therapy is highly desirable.
• Strong familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and records management is preferred, enhancing the efficiency of patient documentation.
