Position Overview

Tough Mind Physical Therapy is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at our Rehabilitation Center located in beautiful Saint Petersburg, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to applicable state practice acts and regulations governing the role and responsibilities of physical therapists.
• Conduct comprehensive examinations and evaluations to assess patients' functional limitations and disabilities, developing tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Perform detailed evaluations, including reviewing patient history, conducting specific assessments, and accurately chronicling findings to formulate actionable recommendations.
• Implement effective treatment protocols that align with evaluation outcomes and the patient's current health status, adapting as necessary to meet evolving healthcare demands.
• Engage in collaborative consultations with healthcare providers and document any changes in the patient's condition, ensuring timely modifications to the plan of care.
• Oversee discharge planning, coordinating follow-up care, and maintaining detailed, accurate records of all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Participate in ongoing training and remain compliant with regulatory standards to uphold high levels of clinical excellence.
• Proactively engage in facility meetings and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing patient access and care quality, including participation in our Access NRH programs.
• Guide patients through their rehabilitation journey by clearly articulating the necessity of physical therapy and maintaining thorough documentation of treatment requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Rehabilitation Center caters primarily to patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, trauma, and mobility issues requiring physical therapy intervention. Our approach is holistic, focusing on not only the physical aspects of recovery but also the emotional and psychological wellbeing of our patients. You will work with individuals across diverse backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic techniques to meet the unique circumstances of each patient.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, showcasing your ability to manage diverse patient cases effectively.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring readiness in emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with additional certifications in specialized therapy techniques or proven experience in advancing patient care through innovative therapeutic interventions. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and multidisciplinary team collaboration will also be beneficial.
