Work Environment

This position will require you to work onsite, primarily within homecare settings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including an assessment of patient history and specific physical evaluations to formulate evidence-based treatment strategies.
• Develop and communicate individualized treatment plans to patients and their families, actively involving them in setting achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement treatment protocols based on thorough evaluations, demonstrating proficiency in orthopedic manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, documenting patient progress and modifying care plans as necessary to reflect changes in patient conditions.
• Provide patient discharge planning and follow-up processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation of all patient interactions using WebPT EMR Software.
• Manage your schedule effectively to meet productivity expectations, while also participating in departmental and community outreach initiatives.
• Support departmental goals and adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements while maintaining a clean professional record.
• Proactively pursue continuing education opportunities and mentorship roles to foster your own and the organization's growth.
• Enhance customer experience by accommodating patient needs and promoting flexible care options.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily treat patients who require rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their musculoskeletal system. Engaging closely with patients of diverse backgrounds, you will focus on tailoring treatment plans to optimize each patient's recovery journey, thereby improving their overall mobility, flexibility, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Valid Florida Physical Therapist license is essential.
• Your professional record must be clean, without any disciplinary actions from regulating boards.
• Proficiency in orthopedic manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol design is expected.
• Experience and comfort with WebPT EMR Software is preferred.
