Work Environment

This role is primarily focused on home care, offering the flexibility to work in a variety of residential settings tailored to patients' needs. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care while maintaining a warm and professional presence in the patients' homes. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal life while making a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing physical capabilities and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to treat various conditions, including orthopedic injuries, post-operative recovery, pediatric needs, neurological disorders, and sports-related injuries.
• Monitor patients' progress closely, making necessary adjustments to treatment programs in accordance with measurable outcomes and feedback.
• Provide education and training for patients and their families, empowering them with knowledge and skills to support healing at home.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to comply with regulatory standards and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
• Exhibit exemplary customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physical therapists and specialists to optimize patient care strategies and outcomes.
• Meet minimum utilization goals and participate in practice growth initiatives, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist will predominantly focus on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and other musculoskeletal conditions. You will cater to a diverse clientele, including adults, seniors, and pediatric patients, utilizing a personalized approach to meet their unique needs. By developing strong therapeutic relationships, you will help patients achieve functional goals and reclaim independence in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate degree (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid State License in Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Two years of clinical experience in a relevant setting, demonstrating proficiency in treating orthopedic patients.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect professionally and empathetically with patients and their families.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
• A proven ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with patients to support their recovery journey effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with home care settings and knowledge of home health regulations.
• Background in telehealth practices, enhancing remote patient engagement and evaluations.
• Additional certifications in specialized treatment techniques (e.g., orthopedic manual therapy, dry needling) are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
