Full-Time Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Outpatient Care

This full-time role is designed for professionals who are passionate about helping patients recover from injury and regain their strength and mobility. Work Environment

This role is set in a welcoming outpatient office that emphasizes a collaborative therapeutic atmosphere. With ample space available for movement therapies, you will work alongside fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA) in our 5,000 square foot facility. The work schedule spans Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure while engaging in meaningful patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' objectives to design and implement individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
• Manage a reasonable caseload, treating one patient per hour to ensure focused, quality care.
• Provide a variety of treatment modalities and interventions that promote recovery and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries.
• Focus on restoring motion and enhancing mobility through effective exercises, manual therapy, and education on safe movement practices.
• Encourage patients to minimize reliance on medications by introducing effective non-surgical therapeutic options.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that include specific treatment techniques and patient health education.
• Motivate and empower patients to adhere to their treatment protocols and improve their functional outcomes.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and service delivery.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, evaluating treatment effectiveness and making necessary adjustments to enhance recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all patient interactions and treatments in compliance with organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves clients with orthopedic conditions, most of whom are referred by private medical insurance providers. This high volume of clientele presents a dynamic opportunity for the physical therapist to influence a diverse range of patient backgrounds, from sports injuries to post-surgical rehabilitation, thereby continually honing clinical skills and therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Must hold a valid Florida license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against licensing is essential.
• Proven expertise in orthopedic manual therapy techniques and a sound understanding of evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrated ability in developing and executing tailored exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is strongly preferred to ensure readiness for immediate engagement with our patient demographic.
• Experience in providing patient education, emphasizing lifestyle modifications and home exercise programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
