Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with various orthopedic conditions, reviewing medical history, performing specialized assessments, and formulating individualized treatment plans.
• Clearly articulate evaluation outcomes and treatment strategies to patients and their families, actively involving them in the goal-setting process to foster shared ownership of health outcomes.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols based on ongoing assessments, patient presentations, and current best practices within the ever-evolving orthopedic landscape.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, recognizing when to modify treatment plans or seek further medical opinions based on changes in a patient's condition.
• Oversee detailed discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation that captures the patient's journey through therapy, from initial evaluation to discharge.
• Exemplify effective time management to meet productivity benchmarks, maintaining an organized schedule and arriving punctually for all commitments.
• Engage in community and hospital-based initiatives to promote our services and expand accessibility for patients.
• Actively participate in departmental goals and compliance with regulatory standards, contributing to the overall objectives of our practice.
• Pursue continuing education and professional growth opportunities while mentoring students and new staff to enhance team competence and service delivery.
• Ensure exceptional customer experiences by demonstrating flexibility, responsiveness and a proactive approach to patient care and access.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work primarily with individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, postoperative rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient demographic includes athletes seeking to return to performance level, elderly patients regaining mobility, and individuals with various orthopedic diagnoses aiming to improve their quality of life. Each patient's journey will be closely monitored to adapt therapies that help them achieve their personal health goals in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) is essential.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is necessary.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic modalities and treatment techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
