Work Environment

As an onsite Orthopedic Physical Therapist in our Rehabilitation Center, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical capabilities and limitations, utilizing various evaluation tools and methods.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that detail specific goals and interventions tailored to each patient's unique condition and needs.
• Implement and administer hands-on therapy, employing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and various modalities (electrotherapy, ultrasound, etc.) to promote healing and functional improvement.
• Provide ongoing education and guidance to patients regarding their treatment plans, encouraging adherence to home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring all aspects of patient needs are addressed to enhance recovery.
• Regularly assess and adjust treatment strategies based on patient progress and feedback, demonstrating adaptability in therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions such as fractures, joint replacements, ligament injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your work will involve treating patients of various ages, from young athletes to older adults, all seeking to regain mobility and return to their daily activities. You will also support individuals with complex comorbidities, requiring a holistic approach that integrates physical rehabilitation with other therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid and current Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience specifically in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate patient conditions and devise appropriate treatment strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic medical record systems to efficiently document patient progress and treatment plans.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Fluency in Spanish or another language is a plus, contributing to better service for our diverse patient population.
