Work Environment

The orthopedic outpatient unit at Life Point is well-structured and efficiently designed to facilitate healing and recovery. As a Physical Therapist, you will work onsite with a close-knit team that currently includes experienced physical therapists and a dedicated physical therapist assistant. Our regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a balanced work-life environment while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based interventions, applying a variety of therapeutic techniques to improve movement and function.
• Create and manage treatment regimens for patients experiencing orthopedic issues, emphasizing rehabilitation to reduce reliance on medications and surgical procedures.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, allowing for adjustments to care plans as necessary.
• Engage with patients, encouraging their active participation in therapy and educating them on self-management strategies.
• Utilize WebPT EMR software for accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Advocate healthy lifestyle choices, including tailored fitness and wellness programs to facilitate long-term patient success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on a diverse patient population, primarily those covered by private health insurance. We see individuals with a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical patients, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. As an Orthopedic PT, you will provide compassionate care to help patients on their road to recovery, enabling them to regain independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist is essential.
• A clean professional record with no prior board or disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional proficiency in manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective patient relationships.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records, specifically WebPT, is desired.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Background in implementing evidence-based practices and conducting patient evaluations.
• Experience in designing and facilitating rehabilitation programs, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits
