Rehabilitation Physical Therapist (Full Time)

Position Overview Vitality Physio-Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This is a full-time, onsite role where you will work closely with patients in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. As part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team, you will engage with fellow physical therapists, occupational therapists, and case managers to ensure the best outcomes for our patients. Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical capabilities and limitations, using diagnostic and prognostic tests to gather data on muscle strength, joint mobility, and functional performance.

Administer hands-on therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercises, and the use of physical agents like ultrasound and electrical stimulation, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective and appropriate delivery of therapeutic interventions as per the established plan of care.

Document clinical evaluations and progress using electronic medical records, preparing discharge summaries, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Participate actively in case conferences with the interdisciplinary team to provide updates on patient progress and collaborate on the modification of care plans as needed.

Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, equipment use, and strategies to facilitate rehabilitation in their everyday environments.

Assess and recommend assistive devices, such as prosthetics and orthotics, to support patient independence and mobility.

At Vitality Physio-Rehab Center, you will work predominantly with adult and geriatric patients who are recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or requiring rehabilitation after injuries. Your contribution will be vital in empowering patients to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an equivalent educational background from an accredited institution.

Possess a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.

At least one year of clinical experience in physical therapy, particularly in an outpatient or rehabilitation setting.

Current CPR certification for healthcare providers.

A strong commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients.

Experience working with a diverse patient population, especially those with complex medical histories.

Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation processes.

Continuing education in specialized physical therapy techniques or modalities is highly appreciated.
