Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Periscope, you will:

• Direct and manage physical therapy treatment programs aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function, always adhering to individualized care plans.
• Evaluate clients' physical abilities through advanced diagnostic methods to determine the best rehabilitation strategies.
• Assess home environments to formulate recommendations that promote greater client independence and facilitate rehabilitation efforts.
• Administer a range of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and the use of physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices according to each patient's needs, coordinating closely with physicians for optimal outcomes.
• Document client progress and adapt the treatment plan through comprehensive clinical record-keeping, including initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and collaborating on holistic patient care strategies.
• Provide guidance and training to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring standards of care are met or exceeded.
• Maintain compliance with state laws and regulations regarding Physical Therapy practice.
