Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and direct individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring optimal muscle function in accordance with care/treatment protocols.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective implementation of care plans and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional abilities using diagnostic tests that measure muscle, nerve, and joint performance.
• Assess the home environment to make practical recommendations that enhance client independence and safety.
• Administer therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, and guide clients through functional activities to aid in their rehabilitation journey.
• Perform hands-on treatments such as traction and massage, while utilizing various physical agents to assist in rehabilitation efforts.
• Evaluate, fit, and recommend modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with physicians.
• Actively participate in the development and continuous revision of care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Monitor, document, and communicate any changes in patient conditions or responses to treatments to physicians and care managers.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, in alignment with industry standards.
• Engage as a key member of the interdisciplinary team during case conferences, contributing valuable insights into the total care strategy for each client.
• Provide guidance and education to clients and their families regarding therapy programs and device usage.
• Promptly submit clinical and payroll documentation as mandated by company policy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at InSearch Therapeutics, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgery, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our client population encompasses both elderly individuals requiring rehabilitative care as well as younger patients who may need assistance post-injury or surgery. Your therapeutic interventions will focus on improving their quality of life, enhancing mobility, and fostering independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active, unblemished Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Extensive knowledge of manual therapy modalities and evidence-based physical therapy techniques.
• Proficiency in the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with a specific emphasis on Web PT.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to staying updated on best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation settings with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Prior experience working with home healthcare clients is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective exercise and rehabilitation programs.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
