IT System Administrator

This position is located at the Sacramento DMV Headquarters. This position, based in Sacramento at Department of Motor Vehicles Headquarters, seeks an innovative IT System Administrator. Reporting to the IT Manager I, you'll tackle complex tasks in problem-solving and IT strategy development. Your role covers System Engineering, IT Architecture, and Project Management, encompassing System Administration, Cloud Architecture, Integration, Storage, and Virtualization. As the System Administrator, you'll lead teams in designing, deploying, and supporting diverse environments, including physical, virtual, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and cloud setups. This includes services like Active Directory, Group Policy Management, File Services, and Microsoft 365 offerings (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Intune, Defender). Your responsibilities extend to overseeing Azure AD, Azure Enterprise Apps, VMWare, DNS, Windows & Linux Servers, RADIUS, and Splunk. You'll design and maintain DMV computing infrastructure, ensure system standards for availability, reliability, security, and scalability, and conduct performance audits and troubleshooting while providing third-level server support. Additionally, you'll lead the setup, configuration, and ongoing administration of enterprise server solutions.
