Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Falmouth, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Non-Rotating Days, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Weekends/Holidays: None

Compensation

Traveler Pay: $60 - $65/hr ($2,400 - $2,600/week) (based on experience)
Local Pay: $52 - $56/hr ($1,950 - $2,100/week) (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat adult and pediatric patients in a rehabilitation setting. The Occupational Therapist will develop individualized treatment plans, provide therapeutic interventions, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve functional outcomes and quality of life.

ResponsibilitiesPatient Evaluation & Treatment

• Evaluate new patients and establish measurable functional goals and individualized treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic assessments to determine the extent of impairment and prognosis for improvement.
• Deliver occupational therapy treatments utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Fabricate adaptive equipment and splints as needed to support patient rehabilitation.
• Reassess patient progress regularly and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment programs and home exercise plans.

Documentation & Care Coordination

• Maintain accurate, timely, and objective clinical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
• Maintain daily patient activity records, treatment documentation, and billing information.

Departmental & Administrative Support

• Maintain occupational therapy equipment and monitor inventory levels.
• Assist with ordering therapy supplies and equipment as needed.
• Adhere to departmental policies, quality assurance standards, infection control protocols, and patient safety guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.

Leadership & Education

• Provide guidance and support to Occupational Therapy Assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
• Support clinical instruction of Occupational Therapy students when assigned.

Required QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Massachusetts Occupational Therapist License.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA).

Experience & Skills

• Experience treating adult and pediatric patient populations preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialist Certification in a focused rehabilitation specialty area.
• Previous experience serving as a clinical resource or mentor within a rehabilitation department.
