Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol, Redwood City, CA Pay Rate: $23.40 / Hour Job Schedule: Fri 12:00 AM – 06:00 AM How This Role Works: Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property location. Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and document observations and activities according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts. Support daily operations by communicating clearly with property management, tenants, and/or first responders while following Allied Universal post orders and client‑directed expectations. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
