Account Director, Cell & Gene Therapy

Catalent is hiring an Account Director for Cell & Gene Therapy to identify and secure new business with biopharmaceutical companies. This field-based role requires business development expertise, relationship-building skills, and knowledge of contract manufacturing outsourcing decisions in the biotech sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building
- Assess customer needs, strategic fit, and outsourcing requirements with internal teams
- Present Cell & Gene Therapy capabilities and value proposition to prospective clients
- Drive sales opportunities through solution development, pricing strategy, and proposal delivery
- Build long-term customer relationships to maximize revenue growth and future opportunities
Requirements
- Advanced degree in scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years experience in CRO/CDMO industry
- Proven track record closing business deals in biopharmaceutical sector
- Ability to build relationships across technical and executive stakeholders
- Strong business acumen and strategic selling skills
Compensation: $130,000–$165,000 base plus sales incentive plan
