Our practice utilizes an advanced electronic health record system, AVATAR, ensuring seamless documentation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients via telehealth platforms, documenting progress from the initial consultation through the course of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health through structured assessments and discussions, forming the basis for individualized care plans.
\n
• Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies for a diverse range of patients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities suitable for various client needs and backgrounds.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting interventions based on feedback and outcomes to ensure optimal results.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and medical professionals, contributing to comprehensive intervention plans and patient care.

• Maintain ongoing communication with local hospitals when clients are admitted, ensuring continuity of care and support.

• Identify and mitigate barriers to recovery, proactively addressing any issues that may impede clients’ progress.

• Provide support to family members and caregivers, enhancing their understanding of mental health challenges and intervention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse clientele, encompassing various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to relationship problems and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.

• Successful completion of the NCE or NCMHCE examination.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.

• Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature, essential for building rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working as a mental health counselor or in a related field.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR.

• Understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and methodology.

• Experience with addiction disorders and related recovery strategies.

• In-depth knowledge of psychiatric medications and their effects.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
