Job Summary This position is for a nuclear station leader responsible for the maintenance department, primarily associated with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls systems. Vistra’s nuclear sites include Comanche Peak (Glen Rose, TX), Beaver Valley (Shippingport, PA), Davis‑Besse (Oak Harbor, OH), and Perry (Perry, OH). The location will be based at one of Vistra’s four nuclear sites. Key Accountabilities Provide technical and administrative direction in all aspects of maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines. Accountable for the activities associated with the Maintenance Support Manager, Maintenance Services Manager, and Maintenance Training Coordinator. Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with approved procedures, instructions, regulatory requirements, and applicable policies and directives. Develop and monitor the maintenance department budget. Maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Ensure maintenance personnel are trained and supervised. Direct contractors on matters related to plant maintenance. Education, Experience & Skill Requirements Eight years of related experience in the nuclear industry or equivalence. Four years of experience at an operational nuclear power plant, with supervisory or management level maintenance positions during that period. Experience through college degree programs and/or certifications relevant to the above skills. Problem‑solving expertise and techniques to address issues. Preferred: Senior Reactor License, Senior Reactor License certification, or equivalent operational knowledge. Key Metrics Teamwork and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
