Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, assessing their intensity, frequency, and duration to determine appropriate treatment paths.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring alignment with their goals and preferences, and make necessary adjustments based on ongoing assessments and feedback.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment outcomes.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance their management of mental health.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards through secure record-keeping practices.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, especially in medication management and holistic treatment approaches.

• Stay informed about recent advancements and research related to mood disorders to innovate and refine treatment techniques.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and contribute to destigmatizing mental health challenges within the community.

Our primary focus is on individuals coping with a variety of mood disorders. By utilizing telehealth, we expand access to quality mental health care for clients across Paterson, NJ, and beyond. Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
