Finance & Accounting Associate

LHH has partnered with a private equity owned real estate investment management firm that is seeking a Finance & Accounting Associate to join their team. This role offers broad exposure across fund-level reporting, asset performance analysis, and investor-facing deliverables, with close interaction across investment, asset management, and investor relations functions. This position is ideal for candidates looking to leverage a strong technical foundation in finance or real estate into a more dynamic, investment-oriented role. Responsibilities Support the execution and oversight of fund-level financial activities, including review of quarterly reporting deliverables and coordination with third-party administrators Assist with cash flow planning and liquidity analysis, including evaluating capital needs and supporting capital call and distribution activity Maintain and enhance portfolio-level financial models used for valuation, reporting, and asset performance tracking Consolidate and analyze property-level operating data to monitor portfolio performance and inform internal decision-making Support internal reporting efforts for asset management and senior leadership, including recurring and ad hoc analysis Collaborate with investor relations to respond to data requests and assist with the preparation of marketing materials and fundraising support documentation Partner with acquisitions and asset management teams on portfolio analytics and investment-related analyses Contribute to improvements in data management, reporting processes, and financial systems, including portfolio management tools Assist with onboarding assets and partners into reporting processes and platforms Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related discipline 3–6 years of relevant experience, with exposure to real estate, private equity, investment management, or related fields Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in Excel; experience with Argus or similar tools is a plus Understanding of core real estate finance concepts such as cash flow modeling, IRR, valuation methodologies, and capital structures Experience working with financial data, reporting systems, or portfolio management platforms preferred Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with investment and business teams Prior experience in real estate private equity, real estate banking, brokerage, or public accounting with real estate exposure is a plus Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: • The California Fair Chance Act • Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance • Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers • San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
