Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Analyst in Menlo Park, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. This unarmed role offers the chance to deliver customer-focused service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity in every interaction.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and help to control access for authorized personnel, guests, deliveries, and/or vendors in accordance with site policies.
- Support day-to-day operations by observing workplace activity, reporting maintenance or life protection concerns, and communicating professionally with staff and visitors regarding security-related procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
