Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health statuses, including the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that align with clients' goals and preferences, utilizing evidence-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, self-care strategies, and supportive resources.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continuously refine therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards in all client documentation and interactions.

• Participate in team discussions, case evaluations, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work to reduce the stigma associated with seeking therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals and families coping with relationship challenges, including divorce, thereby fostering healthy communication and providing strategies for conflict resolution. The Veterans' Mind Counseling Center aims to create a supportive space where clients feel safe and heard while addressing their unique struggles. As the LMFT, you will empower clients to navigate their emotional landscapes and make informed decisions about their relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field, providing you with a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.

• Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards a diverse range of clients and situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing therapy related to divorce and relationship counseling is highly desired.

• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, and communication therapy.

• Prior experience using telehealth platforms for therapy delivery is an advantage, especially in maintaining client engagement and satisfaction.
