Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to gauge the severity and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, aspirations, and preferences, applying evidence-based practices.

• Implement therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively manage mood disorders and promote positive coping mechanisms.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care strategies to facilitate understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Regularly monitor clients' progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to enhance outcomes while documenting all client interactions accurately and confidentially.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care, discussing treatment adjustments and shared approaches when required.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatments to continually inform and enhance your therapeutic strategies.

• Participate in case consultations, routine team meetings, and professional development opportunities, aimed at cultivating your clinical expertise and promoting peer learning.

• Advocate for clients by fostering awareness and de-stigmatization of mood disorders while actively promoting mental health resources within the community.

You will primarily serve individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our clients come from varied backgrounds, and you will play an essential role in providing culturally competent care that respects their unique experiences and challenges. Qualifications\n

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Experience in assessing and treating mood disorders using evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Excellent communication skills, complemented by the ability to build rapport with clients of diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences.

Compensation and Benefits\n
